Residence card

The residence card is a document confirming the identity of a foreigner during his/her stay in Poland and gives the right to cross the border repeatedly without obtaining a visa.

Additionally

Furthermore, a residence card is a document which allows you to travel within the territory of other Schengen Member States for up to 90 days in each 180-day period. During such departure, any traveler who has not been previously fined should have a valid residence card and travel document, as well as the means to stay abroad.

Conditions of issue

The Residence Card is issued by the Governor at the Polish Voivodeship Office (chosen on the basis of the place of residence) to foreigners who have been granted residence in Poland:
● a temporary residence permit,
● permanent residence permit,
● residence permit for humanitarian reasons,
● an EU long-term residence permit.

If a foreigner plans to stay in Poland for more than 3 months, he can apply for a temporary residence card. Such permit is issued for a period of up to 3 years. Its duration depends on the documents on the basis of which the foreigner will stay in Poland.

Fees

Costs of obtaining a residence permit

The cost for obtaining a residence card is PLN 550. It consists of the fee for applying for a residence card. The application fee can be paid in 2 ways:

  • transferring money to the account of PERSONEL Sp. z o. o. – 57 1600 1462 1882 5602 7000 0002,
  • submit a completed application for deduction of the amount from your salary.

Thereafter, the amount of PLN 350 will be withdrawn in case:

  • receipt of a positive decision from the appropriate Governor,
  • refusal to work and further application procedure,
  • abandonment of the application without consideration and departure.
