Working in Poland through an agency: dispelling myths and revealing the benefits

When it comes to finding a job in Poland through an employment agency, many people start to turn up their noses. Some people immediately recall stories of acquaintances who were “unlucky”, others are afraid of falling into the hands of scammers. And still others are generally sure that agencies charge huge amounts of money for nothing. In fact, most of these fears are just myths.

Having worked in the recruiting industry for many years, I know for sure:working with an agency can be a very convenient, fast and safe way to find a good job in PolandThe main thing is to choose a proven partner.

Here are the most common myths we hear and how things really are.

Myth #1: Agencies take money from candidates

This is probably it.the most popular misconception. People still think that you have to pay for work through an agency. Yes, there are unscrupulous “middlemen” who really do require prepayment, but these are not professional agencies.

Fact:
A normal agency gets paidby the employer, not from the candidate. You don’t have to pay anyone to find you a job. As an agency, we make money by filling vacancies for companies – they hire us.

Myth #2: It’s better to look for a job yourself – it’s more reliable

Of course, no one forbids you to look for a job directly. But if you don’t know Polish, aren’t sure about the paperwork, have never been to Poland, an independent search can turn out to beloss of time, money and nerves.

Fact:
The agency takes care of all the difficulties:
– prepares documents,
– checks the employer,
– helps with housing,
– and most importantly –selects a job that really suits you.

Myth #3: Agencies only offer hard and low-paying work

We often hear: “Through an agency – only warehouses and factories.” Yes, such vacancies do exist and there are many of them. But that’s not all. There are also vacancies in Poland for married couples, where the employer provides housing and the opportunity to work in one factory or in one city.

Fact:
Through agencies you can find:
– work in hotels and restaurants,
– work as a nurse, nanny,
– vacancies for drivers, specialists, IT,
– seasonal work in greenhouses and during harvesting.

And the salaries can be very decent. It all depends on your goals and skills.

Myth #4: The agency will simply send it – and then “sort it out yourself”

Some people think that agencies “dump” people on jobs and forget about them.

Fact:
Good agencies havecoordinators and curators, which:
– accompany you at all stages,
– help with settling in,
– explain how to get PESEL, open a bank account,
– and even resolve conflict situations at work if they arise.

Myth #5: It takes longer to get a job through an agency than directly

Many people think that going through an agency means “bureaucracy”, extra days of waiting, a bunch of calls.

Fact:
On the contrary! Agencies already have direct contact with employers. We know where there are real vacancies and who we are ready to hire right away. Thissaves you timeand reduces the risk of being left without a job after arrival.

And finally

WeWe always tell our candidates:don’t be afraid to ask, clarify, compare. If the agency does not provide a contract, requires money in advance or cannot explain where you are going – this is an alarm bell. But if you feel that they are helping you, answering all your questions, not rushing you and giving you real conditions – then you have come to the right place.

The main thing is to choose proven agencies with a license, experience and real reviews.

If you are looking for a job in Poland, we will be happy to help you find a suitable vacancy, sort out the documents and calmly leave for a legal job.

Work should be fair and safe. And our job is to make sure that everything works out for you.
